BLOGGER MEN-SASTRA-KAN PROBLEMA HUKUM

Posted on: January 20, 2009

Zara sendiri bulan lalu baru saja meluncurkan novelnya, Cerita Dalam Keheningan.

IDK, I am not a law personnel but I have always been interested in law & politics, but I dun like the book at all, I think the writings were really bad, and honestly how often does the stuff told in the book happen in Indonesia?

I’ve read the book from front to back, and I can truly say that the stories written absolutely reflect the lives of ordinary people in Indonesia. But there is one twist: the legal aspect the events narrated in the stories are emphasized. And this is exactly what the people of this country need right now, to realize that virtually every single action that they take are governed in one way or another by law – and can be resolved by the legal system that is in place. The topics raised by ‘Good Lawyer’ – divorce, child custody, domestic abuse, murder, drug use, vigilante justice, etc – are very, very real occurrences in Indonesia. But do we understand how these cases stand in regards to the law? I went to law school and worked in a law firm for two years, and I can say with assuredness that seven out of ten people in Indonesia do not. This is what the book tries to rectify, and I believe it has done so very admirably. Even for writers who were the first to write these kinds of stories, they’ve managed to weave a very believable and realistic plots. My hat off to them!

That is why I find Mr. Saffron’s groundless comment very puzzling. There are two obvious reasons for his view towards the book: 1) he’s never read the book; or 2) he has been living on a remote island off the cost of Tanjung Priok for the whole part of his adult life.

Well, well.. I have been in the cave too long but if I see good book I snapped one ! If I don’t like it usually I will try to find something that make the book more appealing. To say just point blank that the book really bad just showing what sort of mentality you are in – goes to show .. you are not open into new thing =))
How often happen in Indo ?? I bet you my sweet funky Azz that this thing DOES happens in this beloved country of ours – otherwise how can you tell if it not happen ?? OFTEN = does happen but not regularly ^_^
So the heck what ? ain’t going to break any bone to appreciate other people creation and talents… sorry got carried away. I just think my sis work pretty darn hard to get where she is now.. 100 % for Rose Heart xxx

Nice, rata-rata logika hukum yg dipakai menjelaskan itulah yg masyarakat pahami ttg dunia hukum, semua diceritakan dgn eksplorasi yg berani. Bravo, kalian meretas jalan remang2 dunia hukum. Salam. Btw kritik yg di atas itu adalah sebuah asumsi umum yg jg timbul pada saat saya pertama membaca buku ini, but this your first effort in this field, take it and listen, feel it and keep writing, coz this is only the begining.
